Ever felt like there is no destination, that there is only the present that we have. All these hopes, aspirations and dreams that we have are only to push us forward; to give this mortal self a mirage of a meaning. The reality is that this present moment is all there is to it..

Does familiarity breed contempt? I aim to explore the intricacies and the mechanics of the thought here. The informality leads one to believe that there's nothing exciting about the person anymore. It is said that to spice up a romance, partners need to engage in activities that either of them are new to just so they can connect again and maintain the bond.   Why do couples forget the reasons they fell in love and got married to the first place? The initial thrill and the mystery of spending their whole lives together makes no sense to them after a few years of  proximity. How does the love fade, procreating contempt and apathy in aggregates beyond measure? This affair can be extrapolated to other realms too, not just a 'holy' matrimony.   All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Most of us are familiar with this usage, but many dismiss it as something that only applies to school-going children, isn't it?                               As adults, we are so conditioned to stick to a set schedule, be it in everyday tasks or just regular living, but this just stifles our creativity and makes life dull. As the quote goes, " Variety is the spice of life",  it is only when there is an assortment of activities for us to choose from, can we do different hobbies every day. It won't be boring, in fact, it will be stimulating. And since we are the ones ourselves, who have set this array of pursuits to employ ourselves, it is never forced and we have the choice to do whatever we feel like in the moment.
