Are we really alone?

There are times in our lives that we feel alone. I'm sure everyone would have experienced this at least once in our life. It's not that alien a feeling. I, myself have fallen prey to this emotion many a times in my journey. (I'm writing this piece, listening to this awesome song and inspiration just flows in✍️)

Recently, I've had an epiphany or it could be the sum total of all the experiences I've been through ( let the reader guess what he may cuz it doesn't matter how). These thoughts of segregation are just the mind chattering away to us with all of our insecurities that each one of us have. When you tap into consciousness, you will feel a connection with the entire Universe and you begin to realise that you were never alone and you never will be ever. When you know that you are not a separate entity but a part of something bigger, you can sync with everything and everyone in ways you never imagined.

I always thought that I would die alone. No skills of friendship whatsoever. But as we grow, we become a team -player and the realization dawns that we are one. We ourselves are our own enemy not anybody else. Like my uncle once said, wherever we go we make it our home. It's all up to us to create it. You can either wallow in self- pity, isolating yourself and loathing yourself for not having companions or you can just step out of that comfort zone and just spend time with that grandma on the park bench or that teenager sitting by himself questioning his life choices. It's all in our hands to create that sense of community.

So, to all you loners and introverts out there, I say strike a chord with everyone you can, at least try to because you never know what connections you can have unless you try. Maybe you don't have to miss out on a friend for life just by letting your inhibitions win. Keep at it and all will be well. After all, we all are human and it's our inherent need to feel liked and loved. Building bridges is how a civilization survives and thrives.
